This bracket will work in a variety of vehicles such as 1998-2010 Ford Crown Victoria, 1991-1996 Chevrolet Caprice to name a few. I do not recommend this for any new vehicle with ceiling or side airbags. 
This bracket is compatible with Coplite models 830, 804, 616, 718, 816, and other single lamps.

Swing down lamps, stationary mounted lamps, hot shoe lamps, and any other visor type lamps, which are designed to be mounted in the area of the passengerside sun visor, should not be used in a vehicle which is equipped with a functional passengerside air bag, when the air bag has not been de-activated for law enforcement use or de-activated by the end user. No warning lamp should be mounted in the deployment zone of any functional air bag. Federal law now specifically provides an exemption from functional passengerside air bags for law enforcement vehicles.
